This event was held over two Tuesdays in March and April 2003 and had
eleven teams from seven different schools or clubs. The teams were made up of
four players with a range of abilities but we are sure that all players enjoyed
themselves tremendously. The event was ably run by Stephen Taylor of Greenwood.
All the prizes except the winners were awarded on the last evening with the
winners trophies to be awarded at the Ayrshire Chess Association annual prizegiving
to be held at Greenwood Academy on Thursday 29th May 2003 starting
at 7.15pm.

The following teams also played and we’ll list them in alphabetical
order so as not to embarrass the lower teams – but with some of the team
names the players chose themselves, I don’t think you could embarrass them
anyway. |
