HARVEY SHIELD 2003

This is a four man team event with a NEW format – see below.

Venue : Greenwood Academy, Irvine

Date of event : Thursday 22^nd May 2003 starting at 7.15pm

Time Control will be all moves in 15 minutes. Quickplay finish rules will be applied.

There will be FOUR rounds in the evening. Each player will play two different opponents twice – once with the white pieces and also with the black pieces. Board orders CANNOT be altered between the four rounds.

The event is for four man teams but the event will use a Jamboree pairing system.

This means that Team A will not play Team B in a straightforward match. Instead Board 1 of Team A will play Board 1 of Team B, Board 2 Team A will play Board 2 Team C, Board 3 Team A will play Board 3 Team D and so on.

Entry fees : £4.00 per team payable to Ayrshire Chess Association

Entries accepted until Tuesday 20^th May 2003.

Entries will NOT be accepted on the night of the event.
